Are you passionate about corporate communications and interested in working for a well-known travel brand? Hudson Group is currently seeking an Associate, Corporate Communications who is collaborative, curious and unafraid of entering unfamiliar territory, working in partnership with various teams. This is a key departmental position, and will build Hudson Group’s brand identity as the largest travel retailer in the U.S.

The Public Relations Relations & Corporate Communications associate is a key departmental position. The successful candidate will have experience working on Public Relations teams and will support the function by providing comprehensive support to the Vice President, Corporate Communications. He/she will also assist in the development, coordination and implementation of all CSR communications.

The Associate will directly report to the Vice President of Corporate Communications.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide administrative support to Vice President, Corporate Communications and other members of the team and coordinate all logistical efforts, including but not limited to calendar management, special events and project coordination with Executive Management and key stakeholders.
  • Provide key logistical support and coordinate all philanthropic initiatives for Hudson Group in tandem with VP. Schedule meetings, interviews, public appearances, volunteer events.
  • Draft memos, recap reports on behalf of Vice President and maintain team weekly status documents.
  • Handle expense reports for all corporate marketing events. Oversee invoicing for department and manage PR budget in tandem with VP. Collaborative decision making.
  • Aid the Corporate Communications team in conducting event planning for road show tours, VIP dinners, and grand openings, drafting event briefs, run-of-shows and other events/event planning documents.
  • Monitor media for coverage of all communications and CSR efforts, maintaining press trackers/press clippings. Assist team with daily press requests.
  • Prepare written briefs, talking points and Q&As for key executives and spokespeople. Route materials for approval.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS in communications-related field
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all matters
  • Grace and discretion dealing with executive officers, other internal management, media, and outside contact
  • A Detail-oriented, self-starter who can handle multiple matters in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to take direction, be flexible, and work as part of a team
