JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Payroll, managers the payroll preparation, processing and reporting. Performs a wide variety of payroll processing activities such as involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, reporting third party payments, verify data input/outputs. Although duties normally follow established procedures, responsibilities may include filing, reporting as well as other Payroll departmental functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

•Oversee Payroll Team
•Assist with processes related to payroll runs/monitoring jobs requested.
•Oversee data validation of Data Entry of New Hires, Terminations and PAFs employee forms
•The ability to process payroll for a 8000+ employee organization with multiple company codes
•Create Mass Import Payroll Files for HRIS
•Oversee all subpoena requests and garnishment processing and responses
•Audit data in payroll system/troubleshoot errors.
•Quarterly and Annual payroll reconciliation and W2 processing including adjustments for prior Quarters
•Equity Compensation, Taxable Fringe, Third Party Sick and Other employee perks /benefit reporting
•Payroll Tax reporting and payment and detailed review of all agency notices
•Oversee current payroll controls/reporting for compliance with SOX requirements
•Cross-trained across all payroll functions.
•Performs all other duties as may be required by the needs of the business but not limited to the above responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

• Bachelor’s Degree HR or related field.

•  A minimum of 10 years’ experience in  Payroll is preferred and 3 years at a management position

• Proficiency in problem analysis, issue resolution, planning and time management.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality information, professional demeanor under pressure and effectively work with employees at all levels

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 

Essential: Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision in a fast-paced office environment. Proficiency in problem analysis, issue resolution, planning and time management.

• Preferably possesses ADP product s (EV5, Adjustmate, WFN, ADPR, iReports, ALINE) , and Kronos 7.0 experience.

•Significant experience with payroll tax filing/reporting

 

Desirable:

•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup and other advanced Excel functions and formulas).

•The Work Number, VISA Portal, Success Factors
