Restaurant Manager

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the exceptional execution of Guest Service by the entire Team. Managers have overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of Plum Market, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations, including Guest Service, product preparation, safety & sanitation, ordering and inventory management, Team Member relations, and financial accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to model and provide exceptional Guest Service.
  • Must have a love of natural, organic and specialty food.
  • Must lead by example and set clear expectations.
  • Must have a minimum two years in a leadership position capacity or equivalent. Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in the kitchen, will have knowledge of making recipes, and ability to help prep recipes as needed.
  • Must have some experience in overseeing/managing alcohol sales.
  • Able to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management including proper rotation and labeling, and food safety and sanitation.
  • Able to oversee and train in all areas of retail management including proper rotation, placement, pricing, cashing handling, and ordering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the Plum Market Mission Statement & Guiding Principles.
  • Model and provide exceptional Guest Service and effectively resolve Guest and Team Member issues.
  • Train, mentor and coach Team Members to succeed, and provide a desirable and rewarding work place.
  • Comply with all airport rules and regulations, and train all Team Members to do the same.
  • Achieve and maintain all budgeted sales, targeted food costs, and targeted labor costs.
  • Must meet daily execution standards.
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks and order supplies from vendors.
  • Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Comply to all laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages are followed by all Team Members.
  • Brings innovative and cost savings ideas to the table.
  • Process all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Leadership qualities and demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associates degree or above preferred
  • Have a Driver’s License
