Hudson Retailers at VPS Okaloosa Airport is currently looking for Food Service Prep Associates for overnight shifts at our location for our Quiznos and Euro Café. This is a great place to start your career. Our Associates provide excellent customer service and maximize sales by assisting in the daily operation of the store.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Acknowledge and greet customers as they enter the restaurant/store or approach the cashwrap.
• Communicate effectively with customers’ food and beverage orders.
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies and special store loss prevention procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and store management.
• Effectively operate a cash register.
• Know basic restaurant/store layout to assist customers in their selection of product and be able to answer customer questions about the entire restaurant/store.
• Be knowledgeable and familiar with the surrounding businesses/offerings within the facility.
• Assist other store employees in maintaining security in stores.
• Stock merchandise.
• Inform management of any out of stock situations.
• Help maintain a neat, clean, organized restaurant/store, which includes sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, mopping, straightening of merchandise on store fixtures and displays.
• Perform related work as assigned. (preparing sandwiches, salads, food overall as needed).

The successful applicant must have the following:

• Ability to interact with diverse personalities.
• Proficiency in the operation of a cash register.
• High degree of interpersonal skills.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Prior food experience preferred but not required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, kneel, reach, push, pull, bend, climb, grasp, press, and any other needs required.

Candidates are required to have flexibility and work any shift required by the operation. As the Traveler's Best Friend, we are the 1st to open and we close when the last flight departs. We require open availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
